It’s really sad that society is still so homophobic.

I was allowed to play with Barbies when I was a small boy and I think it sent a wonderful message not only to myself, but to everyone else who encountered me. Sure, other kids made fun of me for it, but I knew my parents supported my femininity, so the bullying didn’t hurt me so bad. I know some people don’t like how feminine I am, but I’m not going to butch it up for their approval. I’ll look and act however I please. That’s the only way to really find happiness.

That little girl in the video is so cute! It’s nice to see parents instilling tolerance and respecting differences in their kids.

I got emotional last night watching a small group of people that had initially gathered at Ground Zero. They started singing the National Anthem, and of course, I started to get teary eyed.Then, about a half hour later, they showed the thousands that gathered at the White House. Beach balls were bouncing back and forth amongst the crowd, like it was Bonnaroo or something. I went from feeling proud to be an American, to wanting to move to Canada. How embarrassing.
